The public printers in the Library and HUB Tutoring Center are automatically set up on Centenary issued laptops. Follow these instructions to set up the printers on your personal computer.

 

 

Windows 7
  1. Click Start
  2. In the search bar type \\centhprint
  3. Click the Enter key
  4. Search for the printer that is needed to be installed (i.e. Library_Lanier_LP150, Hub9050)
  5. Right-click the printer and select Connect
  6. Click Yes for any prompts
  7. Install driver
Mac OS X 10.6.x, Lion 10.7.x, and Mountain Lion 10.8x
Centenary MacBook
  1. Click the Apple icon
  2. Select System Preferences
  3. Select Printers & Scanners
  4. Unlock the padlock if necessary
  5. Click the + button to add a new printer
  6. Click the Advanced Tab
    1. If the Advanced Tab is not available Ctrl + Click in the empty area, Customize Toolbar
    2. Drag the Advanced icon to the toolbar, and click Done
  7. Click the Advanced icon:
    1. Type: Windows via spoolss
    2. url: smb://centhprint/Library_Lanier_LP150 (Library Printer)
      url: smb://centhprint/Hub9050 (Hub)
    3. Use: Generic PCL printer
  8. Add
  9. If prompted check the Duplexer, and click OK
  10. When prompted, enter username as CENTCOLLEGE/<user name>
  11. Enter password
  12. Click OK
Personal MacBook
  1. Install PaperCut (Instructions to install PaperCut are located at the bottom of this page)
  2. Click the Apple icon
  3. Select System Preferences
  4. Select Printers & Scanners
  5. Unlock the padlock if necessary
  6. Click the + button to add a new printer
  7. Click the Advanced Tab

PaperCut Install

PaperCut is the software used for students and faculty to release their print jobs. It must be installed on a user’s computer in order to print necessary documents.
Windows
  • Click the Windows Start button
  • Type \\centhprint\pcclient\win into the search toolbar
  • Run client-local-install.exe
  • Go through all the prompts with the default settings
  • When prompted, enter your necessary login credentials
Mac OS
  • Go to Finder
  • Click Go... Connect to Server
  • Type smb://centhprint/pcclient
  • Expand the mac folder and run the file client-local-install
